Join rapper and producer Yo-Natan Gutstadt, as he makes beats, writes rhymes, and records a brand new Jewish hip-hop song right in front of your eyes! Learn to use professional, digital sound programs such as Ableton Live and Reason, as well as sound equipment such as condensor mics, pre-amplifiers, and midi keyboards. The toughest part is combining the wisdom of Judaism with the flow of hip-hop.

Sometimes we make up a new song but most of the time we recreate Jewish songs you already know, and give the community a chance to record themselves. At the end of the workshop, participants are given a CD that they can download and listen to with themselves on it. The OJGs believe anyone can make music and this is our way of showing that to the Jewish community. If you are interested in making hip-hop history, then come flow with the OJGs, as we reproduce traditional Jewish melodies and bring a modern flavor to Jewish music.
